UbiNet 2.0 (Database of E3-Substrate Interactions) is a knowledge repository that provides updated, validated, and abundant E3-substrate interactions, detailed classification of human E3 ligases, and visualization tools to investigate ubiquitination network. The current version collects 3332 experimentally verified ESIs. UbiNet 2.0 classifies E3s hierarchically according to their mechanisms of ubiquitin transfer (RING class, HECT class, and RBR class), characteristic domains (RING E3s, U-box E3s, HECT, E3s, and RBR E3s), as well as substrate specificities which varies among different categories. Additionally, UbiNet 2.0 provides a visualization tool that can visualize the ubiquitination network of a group of self-defined proteins. With highly reliable and multitudinous data, UbiNet 2.0 has great potentials to boost promising new discoveries in ubiquitination-related research.
